A 12volt shower and a 12volt iron to press my quilts as I sew them.
Also ordered a solar battery charger. This will be connected to a spare truck battery for back-up when bush camping.

Good on you dawa, you are nearly on your way. I bought the 12 volt shower the other day too. There's always something you can buy, get rid of or alter. I have ideas but not the money to do some of the things I want. Putting them on the dream list.

Great stuff Dawa - we teased Sheba mercilessly when she talked about packing an iron but at least you won't be using it to get spiffed up for happy hour. I've got a 12v shower as well but haven't used it yet.

Some one said you can get them really cheap from Aldis or Kmart. Anybody know?

Ours was about $25 two years ago from BCF or the like.
Also a pop up shower tent, just pull it out of the bag and up she pops.
If you buy one, make them demo the way it folds before walking out the store. Once you know, its easy of course. So we found.

Wow everyone is after a 12v iron Dawa - didn't realise there were so many classy nomads amongst us. I will be putting my shorts under the mattress for sure before happy hour. Looks like you might be able to start a profitable franchise if you want.

Nothing to do with being classy Elle - if you were a patchworker you would understand.

Must be ironing day - lol. I pulled my iron out of the bag of stuff going to the op shop this morning and decided to keep it. I'm planning on spending on the odd night at powered sites in CPs and will catch up on laundry and recharge the phone and computer etc then. I'm buying a solar shower which is essentially a black plastic bag with a shower outlet that you hang in the sun to warm up the water. I plan to use it when I'm out bush. Sounds like we'll be heading off around the same time - might see you out there. cheers - Suzanne

I put a bid in on one but will pick it up rather than have it sent - it is only in Upper Beaconsfield - about 15-20 minutes away and a nice drive.

If that's the same one I found [a long while ago] Milo, they are no longer sold. I tried to buy one.
Just E-mailed them, and will know within 48 hours if they are selling them again.
Cheers,
