Hi Everyone,
Thought I would sign up and say hi. Hope everyone had a fantastic Xmas.
Sounds like a very friendly forum.
I will be leaving Perth end of Jan on a slow trip across to Victoria. Plan to spend a few weeks on the Bellarine Peninsula with family then do the slow trip back.
Have had a good taste of the caravaning lifestyle in the past. 2007 did the block from Perth to the North West, through NT and across to Townsville, Cairns, then back down the East Coast and across the Nulla to home. Probably the wrong way to do it, due to the head winds going across, but great fun.
2010 did the Vic trip, slowly via Albany, Esperance, across the Nulla then to Streaky Bay for a break, down to Port Lincoln, back up to Port Augusta, then across to Mildura, down to Geelong.
Love the lifestyle and wish I had the funds, (like everyone) to do it permanently.
Hopefully I may be able to contribute to the forum as time goes by.
Alan

Welcome Alan.
I am a relative newcomer to the forum and have found it to be such a great information and networking tool. I hope to be heading off around Australia in 5-6 months time and joining the forum was an excellent move on my behalf.
Forum members are very encouraging and friendly and I have met three fellow members for coffee recently without even leaving my home town!
Best wishes,
Lyn

Oops - too much red wine. That should be 'Welcome to the forum'!
the Sandgroper ranks are swelling. Sounds like you are a well experienced nomad with considerable miles under your belt. Look forward to hearing about your travels.

Welcome to the newcomers. I've been out of circulation recently due to work, but I'm never far away. While I'm a Sth Aussie, I have a WA label in the form of the rego on my can and van. Spent 11 years in the Kimberleys. Still love and miss the west, and will get back there, maybe even for work. If you have any questions or advice about this lifestyle it would be great to hear them and help if required.
