For those who remember when we had 2 breakdowns (one halfway across the Nullarbor which meant an expensive tow back to Kalgoorlie) & then 3 weeks later repaired part broke down. Getting this job done twice in a few weeks cost a pile of money. Good news is that the second repair job has been proved to have been necessary because of faulty workmanship back in Kalgoorlie. So professional indemnity insurance for the Kalgoorlie firm is paying up & we will be reimbursed for the cost of the second repair & also a bit extra in case any damage was caused to our engine which may result in future problems. Although we have been told insurance will be paying out money hasn't hit our bank a/c yet but we are hopeful.

Great news - hey were you on the Pacific Dawn on your cruise to NZ? Had a friend on that cruise - she contracted a serious infection and is now in hospital - (she has chronic lung disease so is susceptible to infections)

Racq ultra care is a good investment. My sister broke her chassis on Big red,and the racq sent a welder, then a tip truck, and took the and the vehicle back the Brisbane. All for a little extra every year. And any repair done by an Racq certified mechanic are guarenteed for the life of the vehicle.I think ts a good investment. Bill

I agree if you are going to have roadside assistance then you might as well go for the total care. I was very pleased I did.

Beware RACV total care does not cover all vans/vehicles due to length, width. but they are meant to be looking into it! We have it anyway.
