Nah, not the same....all the names have been removed from the walls inside and it looks bare now. To me, the ambiance is very different
Will see if I have a pic of that too......not sure.

Here are 2 pics of the inside of it back in the early 80's when everyone was encouraged to sign their name.
Looks messy to me but I understand how it added to the ambience of the place. The guys from the Jackson oil fields were frequent patrons at the time and the place had little tourist value.
WOW that is different from what I remember................but it was a boozing afternoon, maybe way too much.

If it was anything like my visit in 09, they would have been nice clean, clear walls with no character at all.
Maybe it was the booze after a long drive that made it such a great arvo......hehehehe
Doesn't really matter.....you had a great time and that is what it should be all about.

I do remember clean clear walls, but we were out the back, or on the side side extension meeting some of the workers from Nockatunga Station, a couple of great girls and very friendly.

B, you must be an old bugga to take picture's with the sepia tone, or have you changed the pic to look old?

They are old Womby and they were originally coloured pics.

Isn't that just the best thing about forums....the sharing of information and the opportunity to see and hear of places we never knew about.
Found this old pic and thought some of you (Pauline in particular) might like to see the 'then & now' pics of the Noccundra Pub.
The THEN was taken in the early 80s, 82/3 and the NOW in 2009.
