Love these flowers but have never been lucky enough to see them growing en masse in the outback.

I seems they dont actually grow en masse Baroma, theres lots on roadsides and on disturbed soil, but they are fussy bugga's and wont grow just anywhere. The WA wreath flower seems to be equally fussy.
Like you I am still hoping to see masses, and so far the best display was in a garden!

One of the local nurseries here in Newcastle specialises in wildflowers. I noticed a sign out front as I went past last weekend "Stuart Desert Peas plants for sale".
Am tempted to buy one or two.

I missed them in 09 (May) when I was out that way....so made a point of going out to Andamooka this year (June) but they were not in flower.....I was too early this time, I was told!!
