Before Alice Springs was "Discoverred" we had Arltunga . 130Kms EAST of now Alice Springs.it was a mine town untill the water ran out LITERALLY. everyone just got up n walked away. some back south to adelaide others WEST and discoverred Alice Springs. The OLD alice springs was 4Km NORTH of its current location. So if Arltunga was a hit there would be no Alice Springs today.
