I've had so many people sending me get well messages, I thought I'd give you all a little update.
I had a chest xray on Friday which showed that it is 'only' Asthma and not Pneumonia(thank God), but it's certainly hanging around this time. Maybe because I ignored it for several weeks before getting on the meds, or maybe because I haven't rested enough. Whatever the reason, I'm now on my third lot of antibiotics and an extended dose of Steroids. I plan to rest more for the next couple of weeks in hopes of getting on top of it before I go back up to Tin Can Bay for my b-i-l's 60th.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with my mate visiting, but I have to admit, I'm glad she's gone! She wears me out! And she's 5 years older than me!
Thanks all for your well wishes, you're a great bunch!

Rest up Beth. You don't have to do anything for the next few day but put your feet up.

Well, I actually have an appointment at the Royal tomorrow, but I'll drive instead of taking the bus. Way less stressful!
Thanks for caring everyone.

Hope the appointment goes well Beth, my other half suffers from Asthma badly and we've had a few scares and hospital visits, I wouldn't wish it on anyone.......

Thanks Vic. The appt was actually for my Gastro Specialist...at least that problem is still under control.
I've only been getting Asthma for the past 6 years, although I'd always suffered with things like Hayfever, Tonsilitis, Bronchitis etc.
There's a lot of Asthma in my family. Mum and brother were really bad, a niece, my son, a few others not so much, and now it's hitting the next generation. My sister's 5 year old grandson is very bad,,,been in and out of hospital since he was a tiny baby.

I haven't been anywhere with it yet! Been saving for the tyres etc. But I'll be taking her up to Cooloola for b-i-l's 60th. I'll just set her up in the yard.
B-i-l offered to check out and do any jobs for me, so I'll stay on after the party. They're long time nomads and he's very handy, so it'll be great to have their imput.
Thanks Vic.

It's on the weekend of the 12/11 but I may go up a couple of days before to help with the food prep, and also to beat my brother to the best spot in the yard ...they have a good size block...and stay on for a week or so afterwards. B-i-l won't have time before the party anyway.
I've finally got the new tyres on the car... next week it's the springs on the car and new tyres for the van. I'm a bit miffed actually. My son has been out of action with a crook shoulder, so I asked my young nephew if he'd do the springs, get the wheels off the van, and check the wheel bearings. He's just got his papers as a diesel fitter, and is looking for a job. I thought a/ he could do with the money, and b/ I might get it done cheaper. He said yes intitially, but I haven't been able to pin him down since to actually do it! So now I'm looking for someone else to do it.
Son's shoulder is okay again, but now he has to catch up on his jobs before going to Victoria for Xmas.

There's always something costing us with these home away from homes, isn't there Beth. The last two pays: 1st one New alternator, 2nd on new tyres. Next one wheel alignment. They told me at the tyre place it needed wheel alignment and don't leave it too long.

Yes, I had a wheel alignment at the same time as doing the new tyres. She's also due for a service.

Thanks Jimbo. How is it found? I had a chest Xray with my recent bout. Does it show in that or is it some other test?
