At that price you could buy 4 for the price of on equiv size Honda. And if your not using it every day they would be a better buy. If on the odd chance it craped it self just buy another one. Way back when i purchased a Kippor the Honda was 3 times the price & its still going, even though the general concensus was they were cheep & no good.

"Genies"? Aren't they those mystical creatures that appear and grant you a wish when you rub an old bottle?

I have the same gennie, done the job well thus far although starting it first up after a spell can be a pig. It has a fuel primer pump on it and I reckon its buggered. Must put another one on it. Hant been used since january though, seem to be carrying it around for a ride cheers blaze

Blaze.
The starting problem after the unit has been left satnding fo a long period is more likely 'Stale petrol'. It's a common problem with all brands.

If my generators artent being used for some time i drain the carby bowl as there is a tap in the bottom with a hose running to the bottom of the generator case. If the carby is drained they can take quite a few pulls as there is a vacume pulse fuel pump on Hondas & Kippor generators, they operate of the crankcase pressure pulses.

A 3.4 KVA for $500.00 sounds like a deal, that = 4 Honda 2 KVA units. Have an old Honda and when it plays up and won't start a good squirt of "Start YA Barstard" down the air intake a off we go as strong as ever.
Yep that's the trade name

Just met a fella at the Nanango country music festival running one of these Gennies and he recons it is great, he has the 3.75 KVA unit which is electric start, has never given him an ounce of trouble

I have had my 4.2kva for over 12mths now ($620) and it hasn't missed a beat. Comparing this to a Honda, the difference being 5 times cheaper but a little more noisier. Cheers

How much does the unit weigh and what noise rating . I like the 3.4 KVA as that's a lot of power for starting most appliances and at that price if it plays up out it goes to the tip. Honda 2kva show price was $1599.00
