Sorry HW, I did think about that after I had posted. NSW is the state along Thunderbolts Way, north west from Uralla.

Stupid me, I do see you have it in the heading. Will add it to my NSW book, sounds interesting.

No, not at all HW....I added it after you asked the question which prompted me to do the edit.
It is also pet friendly for anyone traveling with their fur babies.

Came through there on our way home from Inverell recently, lovely old town with historic buildings and a place for us to re-visit this time with a stop for a few days....Indeed the whole of Thunderbolts Way proved worthwhile, just be careful coming down the BIG HILL between Nowendoc & Gloucester....10 & 15 degree slopes and only one run off area.....1st Gear Low Range these days is ok for me and yet still need to use some foot brake....ohh should mention it`s about 6k long..up or down !!

One of my favourite free campsites is Bundarra Lions Park along Thunderbolts Way CAW #161. Lovely wide open space overlooking the creek.
Flush toilets, water, rubbish bins, campfires, some shady trees.
There is a donation pole for those who choose to give.
