I just got home from having hip surgery. I had a hip resurfacing (replacement) about three years ago. A few months later I had a piece of the cement slip, cut through some muscles and begin wearing a hole in the bone. The pain was excruciating when it happened and I have had an aching pain ever since.
Yesterday I finally had the surgery to have the cement removed. I must say I'm very suprised to be home so quickly after only one night. Although in pain, I'm nowhere near as bad as I imagined.
I now have four weeks off work to recover - so no doubt will have more time to contribute to this forum.
Regards,
Sue

Get well soon Sue - hate any sort of operation - takes me a while to get over the anaesthetic - usually have a bad reaction. Take your time, rest up, and you will be back on the road before you know it!

Hi Sue. Hoping for a speedy recovery. As you say One night is quite a fast turn around. Take it easy. Wondered why hadn't seen you on here for a while, did you enjoy your trip away? Hope your son is doing ok. Look after yourself and enjoy being waited on, all the best.

All the best Sue and have a rapid recovery.
Must have been a solid hip replacement if they made it out of cement....
