The thread about the anti-carbon tax rally seems to have been axed.
If threads are killed off, can they just be marked "closed" and left there so we know what's happened, rather than just having them disappear?
Cheers, Tony

I don't remember ever seeing a anti-carbon tax rally thread on here. Was it in the solo grey nomads or another thread?

Hi Tony,
Personally I fail to see the anti carbon tax rally as political.
Whoever tries to add yet more of a tax burden be it a labour ,Green.Coalition it is something that affects everyone.
I do not see it a s political and I would know nothing about the rally or how others feel.
I think yet another case of "Political Correctness" gone wrong.

Last night a new member joined and started a post which advertised a carbon tax convoy. I deleted it because I don’t feel the forum is an appropriate place to recruit followers or to promote further political discussions. I am keen to keep things on topic (within reason) as far as possible and have found that political discussions can lead to heated discussions and, in the end, bad feelings. This is a friendly, welcoming, inclusive forum primarily for people who wish to discuss travelling and grey nomad related issues. There are numerous other places on the internet and elsewhere where people can discuss controversial political issues or recruit others to join them in rallies. I hope you all understand.
