My worst fear when on the road, is to be the first to a sight like this, before the dust settles. I have senior first aid, but I don't want to have to use it. Fortunately, I've not come across any accidents in all my travels. Of course there's always the first time for everything. Once again another example of what not to do when operating a motor vehicle.

Trust me...no one EVER wants to come across a collision like this, especially if you are one of the first on the scene.
The memory will stay with you forever

I've been a volunteer member of emergency services, fire service, SES and sea rescue. While I was usually the radio operator there was one crash my ex husband and I attended where a young bloke drove his car head on with a bus. As I was pregnant at he time I was traffic control away from the actual scene. There are so many tragedies our volunteers, ambos, fireys and police have to clean up after. There isn't enough money or accolades to compensate for the work and trauma. Join up, support and appreciate, and don't be the one to give them more work.
