I have a thetford shower/toilet system in the Conquest (2007)and when I took the plug out the fitting which was very tight unscrewed the top fitting from the bottom hose joint and rubber seal. Do these handbasin units come apart for such issues (or what).
I have it booked into a workshop on Monday but it would be handy for some knowledge prior to that. can anyone help.
Issue resolved, I thought it could be done but was not Game enough to do it myself. Spoke with caravan repair man who said that unit had to come out, which I disagreed with, explained to him my reasoning which he agreed to, using a very thin bladed knife inserted between the top and bottom sections of the basin (see third pic, the black line around the edge is the joining point) the top popped up allowing room for your hand, multigrip etc to get inside and put everything back. I'm happy and they learned some thing. Now I share it with all on here.
Thanks to all those that looked.
Bob
