I want to put new Light-bulbs in the 'Van. I'd like to put "White Light" bulbs in, but in the blurb, it says "Newer Vehicles." Is this Gospel, or could I use them ? It's a '98 Hi-Ace.
Cheers,
Sheba.

You are talking about inside the van, in the living space aren't you Sheba??? My friends today said I should change my inside lights to LED, they will last much longer and won't use up so much of the battery.

I'm talking about the normal Vehicle Headlights, [I thought there was only one kind ?] at the front, outside the vehicle.
Just went back and re-read my original Post. Sorry people. My blue, although the heading is Headlights.
I know when I'm driving at night, I prefer the White Light headlights coming at me, than the normal ones. Much easier on the eyes, and I had them in the Forester, but this is an older vehicle.
Cheers,
Sheba.

Aah!!! You said IN the van. Yes I hate those bright yellow ones coming towards me, horrible. I can't see why you can't use the white Isn't that what everyone has except for the slight few.
Old briney, Why would they make you take them out, Aren't the normal ones white. Or is this somehting different Sheba.
I have no idea what colour mine are. I don't like driving at night anyway so shouldn't matter.

I did say "IN" not "INSIDE", and the heading is "HEADLIGHTS".
Not sure what briney meant. I thought he thought I meant inside a Caravan.
They're actually a Blue colour, but Shine a White which is not as Glarey as normal Lights.
Cheers,
Sheba.

i believe you can, also go for more wattage, if you have 100watters put 150's in. just like having spotties'.

I would be carefull increasing the wattage without fitting relays & heavier wiring. Have seen original headlight wiring burnt or melted in vehicles, as the orig wiring is usualy only just heavy enough.

Thanks for the input guys. Don't need anything like "Spotties". Just want to cut down glare for oncoming drivers if I do happen to be driving at night.

Sheba.

littledick, A friend of mine just had all her internal lights in her campervan changed over to LED. Thats why I suggested them but they don't sound all that reliable do they. Have to agree with milo re the blue lights at night, hard on the eyes.
