I dont usually do this but I just posted that link to Facebook. All my children and lots of their freinds have these phones and we share photos around via facebook. Hope they check the phone settings so there are no problems such as those listed. Thanks for the warning.

That really is rather disturbing. I checked mine and the GPS on my camera is disabled thank goodness.

I posted it to facebook too. My privacy settings are set carefully on facebook. My son is extra careful with any photo's of my grand-daughter. If any of us post photo's of the kids, we don't put their names on them, and their birth date is never revealed. But I don't know if he knows about this GPS stuff.
I don't befriend anyone I don't know on facebook, unlike the teens of today, who seem to befriend anyone and everyone.

For every thousand really nice, genuine people out there, there is one a/hole who preys on the innocent, whether they be young or old. Technology is wonder for communication, but it can also be invasive in the wrong hands. Protect yourself as much as you can. I've been receiving emails allegedly from an email contact, but apparently they come from someone who has hacked his email address and his address book. We don't know how to fix it other than to change emails addresses again. Mongrels!

Hi Guys N Gals,
The process is called GeoCaching and most phones have a setting in the tools that allows you to turn this on and off, the IPhone has this under settings.
But as previously stated make sure you have your privacy settings set up in facebook etc so that only you and your intended viewers have access to your personal pics...
I just received this and want to share it with all the grandparents and parents. I dont know how true it is but better to be sure than sorry.
