I picked up Myrtle this afternoon, all done and a lot poorer. Have spent a bit of time with a bucket of hot soapy water giving a wipe out of cupboards, shelves and doors. Worked out where and what a few things were. Layed out the canopy and tarp and wiped a few cobwebs off. Had found a large black spider in there when I first looked before I bought her. The size of a 50 cent piece. Didn't find anymore.
There's lights everywhere, plugs everywhere, its all nice and tidy in the living area. Drives really well, and so it should, so much has been done to it over the last 3 weeks. The dearest parts in the roadworthy part was a set of extractors with gasket and bolts for $380.00 The dearest parts for the service were the water pump and housing at $144.00
Lots more as well as those, the lot for the whole bill coming to just under $2,000 Now I'm broke. Have also bought a new radio as it had an old am radio. Got a good deal on a Phillips at Autobarn, only 99.00 And an inverter and battery isolater kit all of which S. in L. is starting to fit after work tomorrow night. She's booked in for the new rego at VicRoads tomorrow morning at 10am. I asked if any chance of choosing a numberplate so I could choose good numbers and letters. He said he could let me choose out of maybe 6 in the next sequence but that was about all. So wil lsee whats available in the morning. Haven't got anymore photos yet other than the ones taken and posted here way back. Will try to get some over the weekend after I've put the stickers on.
Does anyone know how big the petrol tank is, how much does it hold. I suppose I could google it.
Oh! and I bought a purple steering wheel cover for 6.00 at supercheap to match the purple seat covers I saved from my old car.

Thank you everyone, what a surprise. Been talking to my daughter on the phone, so hadn't been on for a while.
Tomorrow afternoon when S. in L finishes work I will take Myrtle around there with all these extra bits to be added. Might leave her there overnight so he can get an early start again the next morning.
Think first trip will be to Geelong as niece had a baby back in January and I haven't been able to get down there yet. That will be a good trial run for a couple of days to make sure everything is running smoothly.
Will do a couple of day trips as well somewhere nearby as soon as I can fit it in.

Maybe when you get to Geelong you can make the extra 30 km to Ocean Grove and show Myrtle off. Can always provide a driveway for some free camping. Will PM you.
