I have an electrolux awning on my van. The problem is that the pin and lever that adjusts the height of the awning has broken on both sides.
I was hoping I could just replace the lever with pins to fix the awning, my question is........has anyone done this before and is it a difficult job to do?
I would appreciate any advice/suggestions.

Hi Cee No you can't just only replace the pin and lever. We had the same problem a few years back. you have to replace the whole assembly which when you purchase it it comes with 2 poprivets and 2 small nuts and instructions for installation, it takes about 15minutes to install, just drill out the existing 3/16" poprivets and reinstall the new assembly. I purchased 2 and now have spare. At the time they cost me aprox $46.00 each.

Thanks for replying patrolst I was hoping I could just purchase the parts of the picture below;
There is a screw on the arm of the awning that attaches the lever and the pins. Is that possible?

Hi Cee The picture in your message is of the whole assembly that I purchased and installed, the bit that broke on ours was the pin that penetrates the sliding awning arm and I could not repair it, if the pin that is broken on yours the pin that the handle pivots on then you may be able to replace it but I think I would go stainless steel bolt and nylox s/s nut. S/S bolt and Nyloc nut is the go if it's only the pin your replacing that holds the handle in place There are caravan salvage yards just like auto wreckers that may have an annex that has good handles that you can buy second hand
Back again picking your brains for advice.
