The wonders of technology. I don't know if it's better to be able to watch a tragedy as it happens, or to wait until the headlines hit the media the next day.
God only knows what that tsunami took out with it, and how many people.
I suppose it's our turn to help them too.
I believe they helped Christchurch.
You're quite right Milo, what a world we're living in.
Natural disasters around the globe, countries battling over borders and so-called leaders having power and control surges over their own people.
I'm feeling very inadequate right now.

Hard to believe the tsunami has already smashed boat in California. The showed on TV a while ago boats being tossed around crashing into each other.

If no one lived there and there were no boats and bridges, the earthquakes and tsunamis would have had their way with the world, and no one would have known.
However, we have development and infrastructure where nature once had her own way, so the impact is tragic.
Science and technology can now warn the people of pending natural disaster and they can prepare, but they don't know how to stop it or prevent damage and loss of life.

My brothers wife is Japanese, but thank God her family is in the far south. No problems there.
But I'm worried about the Nuclear Reactor. What on earth possessed them to build the damn thing in an earthquake zone!

Theres this myth that nuclear power is safe, and it doesnt cause pollution like coal-burning power stations do. It doesnt , but its pollution is far more scary.... Wouldnt want to live near one.

The whole of japan is on a fault line. They have more than one nuclear power station. Why. Because they say it is safe just as the people here who want some built around Aus.
Crazy is all I can say, are they trying to kill us all?
