Not being the sharpest knife in the draw when it comes to computers, I can't work out how to include a photo in the "user details column?"
Help!

Click on Avatar under Profile after you have clicked on your name at the top. It will then tell you to upload a photo.

if you can upload to photobucket or flickr or similar type of places then
when you highlight the photo (this is in photobucket) click on image code and copy and past that
in where you want it as an avatar , like hw said..
its a little tricky , oh might want a smallish sized pic for an avatar and photobucket lets you chnage sizes
of the pic
hope that helps

I just went straight to the photos saved in the computer and uploaded it from there. Had to get my computer-expert man to reduce the size though. The program will tell you if its too big when you try to upload it.

I do it straight from the computer too, it saves a lot of time and a whole lot less transactions.
Easy to reduce size, when ever I put photos on computer I immediately reduce them to 30 % of the original size. I will try and remember how I do it.
Right click on photo, Click on Open with, then Paint. Then go to resize and take down to 30% and save. Good for sending photos by email as well.
(I had to jump back and forth just now going through it so I could explain)
opps just had another look at the question, another senior moment, or perhaps it's because I am on hoiliday

Do you do this as soon as you put Pics on page, before you put them into Folders ? How about Pics. you save from elsewhere ?
Cheers, Sheba.

If I want to keep the original I will do "Save as". If I don 't want to keep the original I just do "save". It will then replacethe original.
If you do "Save as" you have to give it a different name. Yes you can do it with others you have saved from other places also.

Hi Sheba, as HW has said re the save as and save options.
I always save as so that I keep my original shots, if you resize to 30% you will not get the original quality back if you decide at a later date to print a 10x8 or even bigger 20x16 print, you will need to use the original high quality shot.
Hope this explians it for you.

Thanks to both of you. I hadn't thought of doing it that way. Learn something new every day.
