some time ago I put this topic up for discussion and am sure Techo put in a comment in some forun giving details when the recall is being advertised. Can you let me know the forum and date or copy here what you said Ken

I did see your previous post on this subject, I don't recall Techo's response. However on the strength of your post, I went and saw my local Toyota dealer who confirmed that there is a recall on Prado's factory fitted alloy bullbars, I think new anchor bolts need refitting, about 4 hrs. work. No excuse was given for not getting in touch. Will book mine in sometime.

I have found the site which was on the techies forum in the caravan and motorhome. the actual recall was in March 2009 and includes all genuine steel or alloy bullbars. My local member is going to bring this up with the relevant Minister to find out why owners are not being notified.
