Hi Everyone, Well I finally got away from Perth on my first trip. I thought there was lots to learn in the packing up to leave...now there's so much more. Interesting though. I'm still in "city" mode and thinking what I have to do today being my first thought, although its getting easier to quickly follow that thought with..."ah not much" if thats what I want. Anyway I'm sure it will get easier as I go. Anyway enough of Me. Is there anyone in the Albany area that might like to catch up.

Yes Colls, you will soon learn that if you have 'nothing to do' today but don't get it done you can always finish it tomorrow.
Enjoy Albany, great place to be at this time of year, it can easilly be 10 - 15 deg cooler than Perth temps.
Cheers Neil

Hi Colls ..
It wont be long before you get in the swing of things .. you'll do fine .. Up until today I was going to be going down to Albany ..
I good friend of mine (Albany resident) has taken ill. I phoned him today, but unfortunately he is not well enough for visitors and is frequently travelling to Perth for his health appointments.
So Colls, we might catch up with you at another time ..
I'm currently in Norseman .. then heading up north once I get some tyres worked on in the morning ..
cheers
Jon

Colls, Lots to learn in the packing up: I know what you mean, just trying to think about it all. Do I take this, do I take that, what do I leave behind. What don't I need.
I have to start thinking about it now even though may not go on a long trip before April, as I have to find a space for everything I need. Where do I store it etc etc.

Hi Jon, Sorry to hear about your friend. Funny how life works, until 2 weeks ago, I was going to be going North. Where will you be headed? Wherever, have a safe trip and yep somewhere along the way we might meet up. Colls

HW, this time last week I was still in my driveway wondering what I "REALLY" needed. Today I did another cull of Stuff. Given the size of my caravan there isnt that much room but the one thing Im pleased with is one of the picnic basket bags with plates, cutlery etc in it. I replaced the plates with corelle from home & have found it to be just what I needed. Glad I took the advice of forgetting the just incases. (except for my warm Nanna blanket) Good Luck with it all. Hi Colls ..
I'll be spending some time with a couple of friends out in the bush about 70 k's north of Coolgardie .. Then will travel north from Kalgoorlie via Leonora to Leinster .. from there, across to the west coast to Geraldton .. then to continue my trip around.
Luckily, Im not on a schedule .. but do need to wait for the 'wet' season across the top to subside before going any further .. (March/April) .. so will have a little look around while waiting ..
