I apologise if my wombat animation has upset some people, I aggree that the anim was misleading as it had .com on it and could have looked like a link to a web page, there was never a link to any web site, in fact if those that complained had bothered to click on the anim they would have discovered that it did not link to anywhere.
If in future anything I post here is disturbing to anybody please have the guts to talk to me in the first instance, and I feel sure I can sort it out asap.

I have been really enjoying your animations, particularly the ripple effect you applied to the phote (a few days/post ago). Didn't notice the .com link thing, although that is not unusual for me.
Don't let the critics get to you, life is too short. Although, while they are having a go at you they are leaving some other poor bugger alone.

some members have complained (not to me because they are gutless) that my sig anim was a link to a web site, there was nothing attached to my sig it was just an anim that some members considersed to be too much like an advert for my web site, I have never ever given any forum my web site.
I can understand the confusion as the anim had .com within it so that may have confused some members, but if they had taken the time to click the anim they would have found it did not link anywhere, if we are not allowed to put .gif files as sig then that option should not be available within the sig page.

The only thing that did annoy me was the fact that these members did not contact me direct so that I had the oppertunity to fix the problem.
As you say life is too short to worry about people like that.

I agree with you 100%, some people just complain about anything, they mustn't have anything better to do just ignore them.
I couldn't see anything wrong with your signature, like Sandra K I have enjoyed them and I keep waiting to see what the next contribution from you is going to be.

This site is very good most of the time but when somebody complains and does it via a back door that's what annoyed me.
I don't want to know who the members were that complained, as you say they have nothing better to do with their time.

It may seem like a storm in a teacup to you but it was my actions that were the complained about, if the option was not there for an animated sig then the members who complained would have nothing to complain about.
I can see where the confusion came into this, it was the .com at the end of the sig, it has now been removed, even though it was not a link to ANY web site and I have asked if I can again use an animated sig of my current sig, just awaiting a reply.

I too find your animations entertaining Wombat, its sad that such a minor thing has caused so much trouble, I find it hard to understand why anyone would complain about anything on here, surely if your not happy about something then just ignore it. I also agree with Jimricho time to move on we are giving too much satisfaction to whoever it was that complained

Hi Wombat - just a change of topic - you sound pretty handy with camera & also with support programs, I for one would like you to do a photo tips section. What you did with that photo was great, any chance you would do that.......
ps: best tip I got when I purchased my new camera & took my first photo of a couple of family members, was to take the lens cap off !!!!!!!! bugger.
Wombat showed me how to do this many moons ago on another forum site where we first met. Just as harmless as the one taking so much of our attention now.
