Last night I tried to cook a pizza in our baby Q - unfortunately it didn't turn out too good, burnt base and just cooked on top
We had it on a Pizza tray sitting on the Trivet on Low - does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks Shell
Would that be what Pizza Stones are for ? The Warehouse was selling them this week for $10.00.
Cheers, Sheba.

Thanks Guys,
I went onto the Weber site - turns out they make a pizza stone for the baby Q!
So I will be getting one of those.
No havent tried vegies in it, but we love our roasts in there. I do the vegies in the caravan oven. I love our potatoes crispy :)
thanks again

The pizza stones from Webber are quite pricey, try any of the cheapie shops, and I think 'House' shops have them as well. Not sure about Robin's Kitchen shops though.

Dont have the weber as quoted, but did buy a gas bbq come oven [has a lid ] , found it to be a bit to hot with lid down, placed a sheet of h/d allum, foil shinny side down towards burner over the entire cooking rack, this reflects a lot of the heat & worked ok. Maybe worth a try .

Shell, that pizza looks so good! I bought hubby a BabyQ for Christmas 2 years ago, and the roasts it cooks are delicious! They have that lovely smoky flavour that you can't get in a normal oven. Will definitely have to look into a pizza stone for it now! Thanks for sharing!

Yummo, Shell! What size (brand or homemade) pizza is that?

Hi
It is homemade pizza on pre-made bases - cant think of the name in a red and green box in freezer section at supermarket. But now we use pita bread for thin pizzas -yum!

Do the Robins Kitchen pizza stones fit into the Baby Q though, Rod? If so, wow! We don't have one in our little town, but we are going to the city 2 weeks from now for a medical appointment, and I think they have a Robin's Kitchen there in one of the big shopping centres. Thanks Rod.

Thank you, Rod. This might sound like a silly question, mate, but what could we cut it with? I was thinking we'd have a look when we get there, and if it doesn't look like it would fit, we could always resort to the official Webber pizza stone I guess. No doubt it will cost more, but at least we'd have one!

Hey thanks! . I'm in Central Queensland and nowhere near an Aldi's unfortunately, Firefly, but Rod, where did you get yours from? I know Barbecues Galore sell the Baby Q, so they might have a pizza stone too. Will check them out when we're near there again after next week.

Thanks Rod. I'll check out both places.
What a whopper! Lots of good fillets on that one!Hubby's caught the big barra, but not me - not for want of trying though. We went charter fishing up at Karumba particularly to snag a barra, and although we caught plenty of other fish, we didn't manage the biggie until we went charter fishing again up the Endeavour River at Cooktown. Hubby had such a grin on his face!
