Management and I were travelling to mid western QLD, and had to stay overnight. We decided that we would stay the night around Kingaroy. We parked for the night at the Soren Hansen Bridge on the Stuart River. Beautiful quiet spot. (site 513 in Camps 4) Toilet only no water but lovely and quiet. To get there take the road out of town till you get to the southern end of the Golf Club. Turn right - 3Klms further on to the river. Large grassy area - very peaceful and quiet. 20 hours max stay.

I seem to remember that it was $10 a night for an unpowered sight, and dogs, controled, were allowed. I had a red heeler named Barney, and we had a great time, also caught a few nice bass.A boat is really needed if you want to get to the best spots. The kiosk has all the basic foods, and Proston is 10klms up the road.John boy is charging $20 to go to see Joe,s grave at Bethany, but you do get a cup of tea and a pumpkin scone.

Mate there is money making and money grubbing... but that takes the scone. unbelievable... I have viewed graves from the Taj Mahal to Arlington National Cemetary, to Mao's stuffed cadaver in Beijing but never have I been asked for money to view. is it wet up there? l

We have local flooding, but had a great xmas dinner under my mates house.Might be down for Oz day as my sisters want a family meeting at PT Lookout, on Straddy. Will drop in if I can.

Does he take credit cards or is it strictly cash in a brown paper bag?
