Never thought I'd say this, but its been raining all day, like it has in so many other places, and I'm safe and warm and dry at home, and really glad not to be out in it all. Canberra has had some flooding over the years, but its very rare as with the land being sloping it drains well. In the meantime our dams in the Brindabellas are almost full and water restrictions are eased.
My sympathy to those in the floods and out in the cold and wet.

Perth has just had it's dryest and hottest Spring in God knows how long, a drop of rain would be great our dams are way,way down and water restrictions are well and truly in force.
PS:- Another typo.

Local news half hour ago, a lot of roads and streets around Shepparton are closed due to flooding. More will be closed over the next 24 hours. Was intending to go over there tomorrow to do a bit of shopping, safer to stay home.

We are not having consistant rainfall but hugh deluges when it comes, flooding our garages and upsetting the dogs to no end.

its pinging down here in Baradine, thunderstorms, deluges, creeks up but no danger of flooding. My friends Pajero almost got washed off a causeway, they began to cross water was about a foot deep, next thing they knew a wall of water came down, luckily they hadn't gone too far in and could back out. Not the same for the Landcruiser ahead of them, but both vehicles saved and no one injured. This was at Gulgong.
