We recently took our van to the workshop for a minor job, and noticed there were six Trackvans and Lotus sprints, with the entire front of the vans being replaced. Apparently the cladding has not been sealed correctly and water gets in and the frames had rotted. So if your Lotus van has been built in the last two years, I would suggest you check the front of it for water damage, before your warranty run out.. Luckily ours was OK,

Check this out from another forum, it is a worry but gives you an idea of what can happen. No brand names to my knowledge.
Sorry, I will have to check my link, won't be long fixing it.

With a boom in the industry and manufacturers trying to push out exta vans, coupled with a chronic shortage of experienced staff the situation is unlikely to improve. The industry is long overdue for legislation to enforce acceptable building and safety standards. Cheers, ozjohn.
