For what it's worth Lakeside Van Park Ballinia has introduced a policy which now allows dogs . BUT! the dog can weigh no more than 5.0 kg..
Did question why selection based on weight rather than one based on the scientifically established behavioral tendencies of dogs . As yet the park management hasn't come back and I don't except them to

That seems to me to be a pretty odd way of going about establishing which dogs you can have and which you cant. For example my opposite neighbour has a tiny dog, wouldnt weigh 5kg but it is an absolute BESERKER!!!! Any time I go into my front yard it goes beserk. Waiting to see what effect my complaints to the council have. I couldnt imagine camping any where near this monster, that said, I dont now own nor do I want a dog, but I have luckily, only once seen a dog that was a problem while camping and we camp a lot in places where dogs are allowed. (It was a chichuhaha) - I must have kicked one in a previous life, because several have taken a dislike to me....

Maybe they think the weight is relative to the output...

Then again, if a dog was 'weighty' and exuberant, it might inadvertently knock over a small child - then they'd have irate parents on their hands.

We are currently staying at this park and the dog policy is now 10 kgs, but they dont check. You can also have more than 1 dog here with approval on booking, dont just turn up with more than one though. There are only a dozen or so dog sites so you need to book in. We are staying a month, the park is one of the nicest and cleanest we have seen in 12 months of travel. Dogs have their own camping area and are not alowed in the public area, so no kids around them.

That's good to know, freehazzas. Honesty, as always, is the best policy.
