Newbie here and wondering if anyone has any suggestion on what type of cheaper campervan to buy for solo travelling woman. Am only thinking about it at this stage. Reading all your posts with interest.

Thank you glassies. Was thinking of a campervan, not too expensive. Had one years ago a toyota hiace. But alas cirumstances wouldnt allow me to keep it then. But am going to retire next year.....whoo hoo

Welcome Rosie.
Have you thought about a former rental campervan, maybe as big as the Iveco or Mercedes or Ford. A little larger than Toyota Hi-Ace or Ford or Nissan of that size.
Who's your mate on your avatar? The comfortable member of your family?
There is a lot of information on this forum, so happy searching.

Welcome Rosie. I have a '98 Hi-ace Auto. Deisel. I'm very happy with it. Had thought about upgrading to something a bit larger, but made some adjustments re. storage, and have now decided to keep it.
There are photos on another page, if you want to see how I did it. Or if you want to PM your e-mail address, I can send you shots.
Cheers, Sheba.

Hi Cruising, thank you for the reply. Looking at all my options within my price range. Re the avatar, just a pic I found and loved. Though did have a much loved pomeranian for 14 years, but alas she died 3 months ago. I miss her.

Rosie, Do you go into Ebay. I noticed a campervan for sale on there not far from where you live. I think it was St Leonards, worth going to have a look at.
I haven't got time to go in for the details now as going out but will check it again later.

G'day Rosie, sorry about your loss, I just recently of last month (where has the time gone ) my border collie dog he was 14 , due to cancer...
I also am thinking of a campervan some day, I do like the hitops and pop tops but have to make up my mind which i want. seing we are having alot of people with motor homes/ campervans maybe there should be an added forum thingy to make it easier to find posts about these? you could also try http://www.caravancampingsales.com.au/ and select motorhomes, then campervans ..

Gidday and Welcome, rosie take your time when looking, and inspect it like you don't want to buy it. !!! and if possible try and find one that is for private sale, it is amazing what extra;s and accessories you can pick up from a private sale especially if the owners are upsizing, and have been offered an unfair trade-in price, so take your time, do your homework, and get it thoroughly checked out, then you get out there and enjoy it as much as possible, lots of luck ..dazren

Hi Rosie, Have sent the Pics. I don't go near e-bay either. There have been a few Hi-aces for sale up here lately, around the $12,000 mark. One of them had all you could want, including CB.
Cheers, Sheba.
