Please be careful if you have Skype on your Computer. I had a Skype call from what looked like my grandson. He said he was sending me a picture and wanted me to open it and have a look, thinking it was my grandson I clicked on it but my Antivirus immediately came up and blocked it. Thank goodness. They kept urging me to open it and I was getting a bit suss cause it didn't sound like my g.son. Also they didn't have the Webcam on and only sent messages in text. They then said to turn off my Antivirus and I said no, then the call dropped out. I rang the G.son and of course it wasn't him. Hackers had got into his computer and taken it over.
My girlfriends said she got a call on her house phone claiming they were from Microsoft and she had a virus on her computer and it she would turn it on they would fix it. Another Hacker..... the scams are getting worse. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE REALLY GOOD ANTIVIRUS SYSTEMS AND TAKE NO ONE AT THEIR WORD.   

Had that telephone call too Val.  Acted real dumb, (not a problem for me lol) and they hung up.

All I can say is why do people do these things to other peoples computers :{

I got a caller too.....I told them....would they like me to hack their computer.....and I wont charge for the privilage...LOL

The hackers don't understand nice, privacy, good manners, respect, or anything we value. We have to understand for every nice person out there, there are some absolute wankers who just want to make other people's lives miserable. Others just want to rip you off. I keep getting emails from one of my regular contacts and he knows nothing about them. They're promoting male health products, I think. I just delete them as they arrive, and it seems to have stopped now. Computers and the internet are great technologies and forms of communication, and as a full-time nomad, I would be lost without it. We just have to remember to maintain privacy, change your password regularly, on everything you use a password for. My website has been hacked and "phished", causing it to shut down. We'll never know who did it, or why. There is no personal information or financial details on it, so it was a BIG nuisance! Please be aware when using this wonderful invention and the communication we can generate, there are the crooks of this world who do nothing but get in the way of the peaceful people's lives. Security, security, security. Don't give out too much info online. Do everything you can to protect yourself. No one else can do this for you.

The trouble is I have to keep a notebook with all my passwords in it or I forget what I have there. If I change one then I have to update my notebook. If you keep changing them your notebook gets full. I started getting an email from a friend, about once a fortnight for a Canadian Chemist male adhancing medications too. I emailed her after the 3 or 4th time, she said someone had hacked into her account and she couldn't stop it happening. It was going out to everyone in her contacts. You can only delete and hope it stops soon.

Put them in the blocked contact list, it takes a while ,but soon they all go in the junk mail folder and you dont even get to see them. Just one empty junk folder. and its done...
