My beautiful sister rang me today...Nothing unusual in that except to say it put a smile on my face that has'nt gone away. The reason for the call was to tell me.... she had just felt the wind in her hair... Wonderful!!! She has been fighting that hidious thing called cancer {and still is}, but..... the wonder of such a little thing as the wind in your hair, sort of puts thing in their correct perspective I think. {Her hair is now about 1/4" long} and as soft as. It a good day!! Cheers Dellie

So good to hear that. it is such a shame that for most of us it takes something like the big C to make us appreciate the simple and wonderous things in life. The wind in ones hair, the song of the birds and the beauty that surrounds each and every one of us on a daily basis, we seem to take it all for granted. Thank you Dellie for your post it has served to make me think.
I hope your sister wins her battle the world needs good people.

So good to hear such wonderful news. For most of us it is something that comes so natural we don't think twice about the length of our hair or the feel of wind on our face and through our hair.

You can edit your post Helena, there is a edit button on the right hand side. You might want to change knight to knit as well, wouldn't want to knight a hat, be a bit hard on the head.

I hope all continues to go well for her.
Someone should ban cancer.
To my way of thinking we do need more research into this dreaded medical malady.
Cheers Dodg.

It's because of the research and treatments that this cancer victim has survived so far to feel the wind in her hair.
It's because of medical science I'm healthier at 60 than I was at 50.
That too is the result of small steps of research, forward, not backward.
If ever you have the opportunity to support medical science, please do so.
Infant mortality, Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, leukemia, all the cancers, osteoporosis, blood borne diseases, all making progress and prolonging life, thanks to research.
We are lucky to be living in this era, and the research continues.
All the best to your sister. Love the appreciate the simple things, and the big things will take care of themselves.
It a good day!!
Cheers Dellie
