I received and distributed this email. Now I share it with you.
"We're "broke" & can't help our own Seniors, Troops, Orphans, Homeless etc.
In the last month we have provided aid to Haiti , Chile , and Turkey , Greece , Pakistan .
Our pensioners living on a 'fixed income' receive no aid or get any breaks while our
government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Millions of $$$$$$'s and Tons of Food to Foreign Countries!
We have thousands of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.
AUSTRALIA a country where we have homeless without shelter, children and adults going to bed hungry, elderly going without 'needed' medication, and mentally ill without treatment -etc,etc. YET..........
They are requesting donations for the people of Pakistan.
TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water, tents clothes, bedding,
doctors and medical supplies.
Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave all of us the same support they give to other
countries.

Rob and I were watching tv the other night, ACA there was a young fella and his mum on. The son had a disorder and they needed money to upgrade their bathroom, plus he needed medical attention. One of the big banks donated money and several tradesmen offered their services to help. The point being Australia is giving away $millions to Pakistan, and other countries when we have Aussies unable to afford basic things. Wake up Australia! lets look after our own first. Sure help out when needed but make sure our own people are looked after too.

Totally agree, as I have said before we bend over backwards every day to please the rest of the world while at the same time our rights & shouldbe privilidges are stripped from us. Maybe next election time we should all refuse to vote for any of them , get rid of the lot & start again with new laws, any takers.?

CG. That is how the world is. Saw a thing on 7.30 tv tonight abc, That the pakistan army wave the taliban through the border post after they have been resting up in pakistan some place..
plus the afgan. army and the police there have phantoms , that only turn up on pay day..
Its a no win with them, sorry but thats how it is now.. If I was a young chap from there I would be fighting the taliban, not running to Australia. I feel sorry for the girls with what they have to wear. they live in the 1700. The place is a joke. It also said that the goverment there is a criminal org. not a goverment..and our your people are getting killed for this????....

A little healthy criticism of our Pollies now and again is a good thing I believe. I cannot see anything wrong with Ma's post.
Also if this is to be only a caravanning forum only how about we whinge about some of the other topics that come up from time to time that have nothing to do with caravanning.

It was a suitable post for this forum as it is a subject that sparks interest to grey nomads as much as to any other caring person Most of us don't have a problem with the post as it is something Chris wanted to tell us about, & Ma has a perfect right to her opinion since the subject was raised, so ignore the detractors Ma. I object to the implication that I am gutless because I don't share all the views expressed in this post nor the very poor way in which they are expressed.
For this reason I have no intention of forwarding this on to anyone, guts or no guts.

I believe in freedom of press, and freedom of choice.
