Just spent the last 3 days travelling on the Eyre Hwy from Ceduna to Kalgoorlie, it is so green and grassy, you can see what a wet winter it has been in southern Australia. We came across west to east in Jan, it was dry and scrubby, totally different now, still scrubby of course but you hardly see any dirt through the ground cover.
Did sometimes think we must be travelling the wrong direction, could have got RSI with waving at all the vans going east!

Milo we stayed at Kimba for a couple of days, it is green as far as the eye can see, the wheat and canola crops look fantastic.

It's very soggy under foot in FN Qld. Sick of it!
Drip and drizzle between heavy showers, with the occasional gusts and squalls.
Some travellers I spoke to during the week came across from NT to here and report the country up here is also very green. They also took a flight over Lake Eyre from Maree - a once in a lifetime experience I'd think.
I might even do that when I head down the middle in a month or so.
That's why this country is never boring. It's always changing kilometre to kilometre.
Enjoy it all, however it is at the time. It's always special.

We travelled across the Nullarbor for the first time a few weeks ago & I must say we were very dissappointed.
All my life I have heard & looked forward to seeing this arid treeless stretch of bare parched land with no rain and all the colour of red dirt.
And what do we find??...
These ugly multi coloured wild flowers scattered everywhere covering all that beautiful dirt.
Green trees blocking off the barren endless vista of nothing.
Rain filling up our nice fresh clean buckets & washing all that lovely dust of our van & tug.
What is this climate change dilemma doing to our lovely parched land
Cheers Jon

We had the same problem going up the centre to Darwin Jon. Very inconsiderate of the weather if you ask me.
