Hi Everyone, It's great to see how many new forumees have joined us recently and we are all thrilled to be closing in on a total of 2,000 members. Exciting times! Even more pleasing, of course, is the ever growing number of helpful and supportive posts that are appearing. We are forunate indeed to have such a wealth of experience and knowledge in our membership. We pride ourselves on being a friendly and constructive forum where people can discuss issues in a lively and hopefully enlightening way. While we always welcome lively debate and different points of view, we also encourage everyone to keep the tone of all posts positive and friendly. After all, we want to let all prospective new members ... and prospective new grey nomads ... know what a fantastic, friendly bunch we are! Anyone got any good ideas on how we celebrate the 2,000 members milestone in style?

Congratulations to Cindy and all the Nomads!!!
To celebrate, "Mmm, mmm," she says scratching her chin.
You put on the barbie and champers and we'll be there.
I spread the word to everyone I meet. I reckon everyone else does it too.
Maybe another gathering coming up?

Hi Cindy,
Congratulations on a fantastic job, and book! As some on another thread have mentioned that it is hard to 'see' GN's stickers, hubby came up with an idea of maybe having a printed flag similar to the aussie flag that flies from cars around Australia Day may be the way to go and that way people know and can see that you are a Grey Nomad - and pleased to be one too! Of course there would have to be a charge for these, but I feel sure all of us would be happy to pay for them. Or just let each other know where we are going to be. However, we will be in on the barbie and champers!!

It can come with a lot of responsible having a brand of a organization on your vehicle you must be responsible, do the wrong thing and we all get a bad name , our group is so small the chance of seeing some one on the road by chance is small

I guess at that rate, we just put on the forum where we are going to be at any given time, and if someone else is in the vicinity, we meet up.

Hey Cindy, and congrats on getting so close to 2000.
How about a "Virtual Party" - getting as many GNs to log on at same time, just to give a bit of cheer, back and forward cross our country. given that we are all so spread apart, really is the only way we can "get together"
I know you have tried it before, but, possibly worth a go again.....
