I am looking to purchase my 1st caravan and the two dealers in my area sell Galaxy and Windsor Caravans. To me they both look to be quite nice and reasonably priced vans, does anyone own one of these and if so, are you happy with it? Thanking you in advance.

It depends on where you're located and how far you have to travel to view other brands, but I'd go for the Galaxy any day over Windsor. The Windsor of today is nother like the Windsors of old. They are now owned and manufactured by Fleetwood Industries who also own and build Coromal. The ex-Windsor management team now own and run Concept Caravans and have built themselves a great reputation of quality band back up. Cheers, ozjohn.

As Ozjohn said, go for the Galaxy. We had a '99 built Windsor which got written off. It was a magnificent van and we were sorry to lose it. We looked at new Windsors and they were nowhere near as good as the models built before being "taken over". We have had a great relationship with Galaxy and the dealer through whom we bought. The van is really well made and follow up service excellent.

Have been shown in a Jurgens, Ma. Very interesting and well thought out. The one we looked at had been built overseas. They are now built in Aust. Would be interesting to see a comparison.

G'day Ozjohn, do you know approx when Fleetwood took over Coromal (prior to this it had been a family company)? Or when they took over Windsor? Would help when looking at 2nd hand vans built prior to the take over. Thanks
