Has anyone been to Chinchilla weir lately, if so what is it like to camp there as far as parking surface and room to turn around. Thanks

Chinchilla Weir is OK for your setup. Bush camp is too wet at moment.

Hasn't been an update to this site for a long time. We camped there a couple nights in October 2016. Quite a few campers. Level area, shade trees, toilets and a picnic area. There is a designated camping area and some power and a sign that states "No camping past this sign" that some chose to ignore. Good spot - would go there again.

We stayed there for a night on Wed. 30th May 18. Plenty of space.
Dropped into info centre to make a donation of $5
Asked what % of campers came into the info and made a donation
Her reply.
Would be very lucky if 50% did so.
Soooooo.... you guys who like to free camp, put your short hand in your long pocket and make a donation. I am sure that a $2 coin would be appreciated and will help keep these sort of camp sights open. Those who do not donate will be the very first to complain that their favourite camp site has closed. If the cap fits wear it.

Look at all the water. Photo taken last week-end. When we stayed there early August last year it was soooo empty. Enjoyed our overnight stay. A new amenities block is being built at the moment. Cheers.
Many Changes. The whole camp area has had a revamp. Still some powered sites. The amenities block was finished since we were there last year also. Photos taken last week.
Thanks
