Preliminary notice that up to 40mm of rain is being predicted thru the area from tonight. Sat 4/9. Anything over 25mm will make it unsuitable to get in, as it has just dried out from 105mm received over last 3 weeks. This quantity of rainfall will also bring another plague of mosquitoes as happened earlier this year, & those little buggers have a life cycle of between 4 to 6 weeks, so will not make a pleasant camping experience, as well as firewood being saturated. Will update conditions later.

Yep, 35mm overnite & still raining. You made the right decision Lorraine (Jazzin Around). You would have got in ok last week, but you sure as hell wouldn't be able to get out now.
Sorry to everyone who may have had it on their list.
Fortunately Glenn & Julie from Yamba didn't come after I emailed them yesterday.
Will be a few weeks now to dry out, depending on whether we get any more.
What contrasts we have. 10 years of drought & now more rain this year than anyone needs together with plague & pestilence.
Oh well, at least it's not as bad as down south!! Something to be thankful for.

Correct GrumpyOne. I've got plenty of supplies (red wine) so I'm ok mate.
Total for 2 days here is now 60mm & for the last 3 weeks 165mm, but the sun is out today.
Sorry to hear about the plight of all those affected down south, but I guess it will all be blamed on "Global Warming" by all those sensationalists.
No rude comments please!!

Good news, bad news. yes we need the rain in SE Qld. We had 34 mil over the weekend, which is good for our property dam - and yes, the sun did come out today.
Planning to get to Dougie's Place for shakedown at Easter..... weather permitting

Hey Guys n Gals,
Hope you not drownin up there, got a recipe for repellent of a DVD the other day, the guys from 4WD action (TJM) reckon a mix of equal parts; Metho; Detol (homebrand); & Citronella Oil will keep the bugs at bay...
Either that or they will just be too scared to bite cause of the smell.......suppose worst comes to worst it would do as a camp fire additive and the smoke would be better than a mozzie coil.
Keep ya feet dry and let us know how ya getting on up there Doug.

Must have the wrong LNB Bob, cause I can't even get a signal. Digital set-top doesn't work all that well either, so not having a good run with the TV & I'm supposed to be in the viewing area.
Weather report - 185mm now in last mth & more predicted next week. Things are definately TOO WET!!

Safe travelling Graeme & will probably catch up later when things improve here.
