Walhalla, 45kls north of Traralogon, what a step back in time , this little historic village in the foot hills is a great reminder of the hardship of the gold miners of yester year.
The train trip down the valley along the creek, the mine tour & quaint little buildings that have been saved from the elements, some coffee shops, a pub, & accomadation lodges ,this is well worth a day of any ones trip with picnic areas & a free camp as well.
A sealed road, bit of a climb into the mountains but well worth it , we towed the van in with no trouble.

Haven't been to Walhalla for a few years but yes, it is worth the trip. The history of such a small out of the way place is fantastic. One of thise places we all should have on our list of areas to visit.
