Not sure if you can contribute some quirky prose here or not, but this one that I wrote just has to be shared.
To the best of my knowledge, every van has a fridge No kidding!!! that's ridgy didge You bung on the power, let it chill down The temp takes a dive - you beauty, no need for a frown
Now I've never been known To be accident prone But on attempting to open the freezer door The bloody thing ended up on the floor!
We thought new hinge fittings were the way to go Was a little shocked they cost so much dough Can't be this simple now I ask you Not likely - need a new freezer door too
Of course the caravan repair man didn't have one So down to the suppliers faster than a smkin' gun Damn & bother, couldn't get it to fit Thought 'imself would crack a sh..
Then on the morning of our departure, the repair man agreed to call by Took him 3 goes to fit it - and we gave a collective sigh We hurriedly hooked everything up, and off we tore And that is how we arrived late - all because of the freezer door!

The poetic picture you painted is indicative of many issues with van parts and repairs.
Keep up the good literary efforts. Brought a smile to my dial, and I've been writing all day.
Safe travels.

Hi ... Loved your poem.
Have experienced the freezer door problem a couple of times ... largely my own fault by pulling the door down past the horizontal. I have learn't how to fit & tension the new spring & bracket ... even found out that there is a RH & a LH spring .. I think the RH one is painted green .. or is that the LH one? or is it blue?
I must have struck a good agent because they gave me a hand written guide for the installation process & the bits were reasonably cheep.

Excellent thanks Martin ... I put a copy of that away in my caravan technical file for reference the next time I bust the door.

if you want to save stuff on a web page including pictures in IE go to SAVE AS and select file format MHT in drop down dialouge box. Saves complete page including all pictures in one file.
