Don't know about this year but last year in July when we flew over Lake Eyre in a 5 seater plane $250/person for 1.5 hrs flight from Marree. There was a helicopter doing flights as well and I think it was booked at the pub. A bit more expensive I think
Yes it was expensive but it was well worth it in our opinion. We booked at the Oasis Cafe/Fuel outlet.
Hope that helps

Wrightsair operate out of William Creek.
They are the "locals" of the area and operate during good times and bad.
I flew over the Lake from William Creek last Easter in a self launching glider.
Don't miss it.........
Cheers,
Peter

Hi Justcruisin,
The helicopter flights up over the both lakes is going to be around the $495 mark. A fantastic way to see the surrounds. The costs are more than a fixed wing but the viewing and comfort out of a helicopter more than make up for this. We will be operating out of the Marree Hotel so you can catch us there. Cheers

Operators at Wilpena and Arkaroola also offer flights over the lake, justcruisin01. Last Easter one of those was operating from Maloorina Station, just north of Marree too. There is a good public access road to Maloorina and the Lake and great camping near the Homestead on the wetland. There are lots of options for parting with your cash.
