thanks Jim but dont waste your trip thinking of me, nurse Gladys Emanuel is taking great care of me and Dr Frankenstein assures me I will come out a new man
sounds like you're having a great time, wish I was there, I appreciate your thoughts but honestly I'm only here for a tune up and oil change then by hell you'd better move over, we've decided less work from now on and more travel
enjoy the travel Jim and keep us posted, it would be amazing up there in a month or two, grass everywhere

Dave, I've just finished surgery on an inner spring mattress for my van..took 3 rows of springs off, now I need to sew it up again with a carpet needle. While I've got the bolt cutters and stanley the knife out , I can do the pig valve if you like ....?? I've done a vet nursing course......The mattress is like a bought one now.. !!
Before anyone asks.....I hate foam it gets too damp.
Hope you're comfortable and pain free Dave , go and enjoy your life....I suspect you've worked more than hard enough ! Cheers, Denise

DaveO......you are an inspiration to us all.
Here you are undergoing all these medical ordeals and you are insisting that nobody feels sorry for, or thinks of you, Mate......if that was me,........ from what you are describing, I would want every bit of sympathy I could get
Can't wait to meet you!!

Dave you are a true hero among men, a true inspiration to us all, your posts inspire me to write these words, Your selfless acts inspire us all to achieve. I find it hard to comprehend how a mere mortal can aspire to your standards of selflesness and devotion to those less fortunate than ourselves.
I should like to nominate you for an Australia Day award, can you send me your contact details?

Ditto Rumpole; since joining this forum, Dave and his wisdom, advice, encouragement, travel tips, etc, etc, etc, has been the one I have respected most. One would think that his peers, neighbours etc where he lives would support your nomination, besides all the readers of this forum. As an aside Rumpole, would one assume from your avatar, that you eminate your namesake?? Cheers to all, Colleen

I agree Rumpole, nobody I can think of has achieved what Dave has and is more than deserving of an Australia Day Award.
Let's hope he passes on his details to you so you can make a submission.
Well done Dave! Your a legend !!

hope your feeling better, mate. Just to let you know, for your information, I have done a brain surgery by corresponence course, only thing I had trouble with was spelling frontal lobotomy - but not to worry, apparently I'm very good at it - look how well the Duck acts now..
