BCF about $123 has zip in rear and front or there is the cheaper version without the zip in sections for about 69. Great idea for day trippers to a water hole where you can drive up to the bank Could have done with one out a Keepit Dam last week

Hi Wombat,
The only ones I can find [ on the net ] at BCF seem to be open at the back. Do these same ones zip up at the back?
I will go in and check them out on Friday anyway , providing the roads are open by then.
Cheers,
xina.

Just a suggestion but could you email the seller of the van to ask where he bought it (the tent thingy, that is)?

Hi Xina, look at the BCF catalogue ...google ("Boating Camping Fishing") ...theres a store near Gosford. They do zip up the back and look fast and light to put up. About $130....good for a short stop but maybe a bit flimsy as an annex. Im looking at the Oztent which goes up in 30 sec, is tough as and has an awning you can drive away from so van is independent and the outside gear can stay in the leanto tent....expensive, about $1000 but in some ways better than a rollout awning.

Hi Denise, Going to check them out at BCF on Friday. Still tossing up about the OZ-Tent. Having Emphysema, I have to take weight into consideration for later on, when my breathing gets worse, and it is a bit heavy for me now. In a few years time, it might be too much. It was my first choice, until I lifted one. If they made a lighter model, I'd grab it like a shot.
Cheers, xina.

Wasn't looking for sympathy guys. Just explaining why I'd like something lighter. I'm fine. Cheers, xina.

'nuff said guys, but thanks for the thoughts. I did it to myself, and I don't think of myself as being sick.
