I've got my flippers and snorkel ready just in case!!Started raining early this am,has been steady but not torrential & according to gauge only about 25 mls til 7pm today..so far, maybe more to come. But blowing a gale at times and a few trees down around the town..you'd think Olga was right on ourdoor-step but obviously they've copped a fair old hiding further north.Bit of a lull here at the moment..calm before the storm?

Keep those gumboots handy she's a wet one.
A lot of tree rubbish on the ground and a tree has gone over here in the park from the big wind we had for a while this morning.
The rain has finally stopped, the sun shone and burnt like hell through the humidity.
Yes, I did say sunshine. Your turn will come.

I have just come down from magnetic island, and the rain seems to be following me.It pissed down on the way down til south of Mackay , and now its raining here, on Stradbroke island, where my sister lives. Some friends from Vic want me to go down there as they need the rain more than we do.Huge tides on Maggie, but my sail cat which is in a creek in Horseshoe bay survived undamaged, thankfully.3.8 m tide 11 am today, then the tides drop til the end of Feb. Off south next week. Bill

Everything is fine now, thanks for asking Denise.
The annexe roof is tied down, the walls are pegged and zipped to resist the urges of the wind.
It wasn't cyclonic, just big, strong gusts like whirlwinds.
Bits of various sizes blew out of trees, which is why I don't park under trees if I can help it.
Went in the pool for a swim this arvo, and it was just bonza and refreshing. Cheers
Lol.
Cheers,
xina.
