Hi All, we have sold our motel and are picking up our Jayco Outback Discovery pop top in the first week of February, gettting excitited for our holiday (or gap year as hubby describes it) ( I like to call it managing our mid life crisis). No home base (so bad luck if we get sick of each other), no end date, no plan as to where we are going and no idea if we like it or not!
This was just an idea, something hubby just wanted to do. No one has said we are mad but plenty are jealous and say they would love to do it. We just took the huge leap and said, like a lot of you, "let's just go".
I have read the forum and picked up a few tips already, got the camps 5 book and can't wait.
Should be on the road 1st week in March.... Look forward to meeting you somewhere out there!

Well good for you Jenny, I am sure you will have a ball, there are so many wonderful places to see in this great country of ours I don't think you will have time to get sick of each other.
You have the caravanner's bible, Camps 5 so you will find lots of nice secluded camp spots in which to relax and enjoy life as it was meant to be.

Good luck and enjoy every minute of it. You may find that 12 months extended. There's plenty of work out there for people with your experience.

Good onya for taking the plunge. One never gets anywhere in life without taking that first (big) step.
Love every minute now you are Off The Fence and let us know how you are doing.
Cheers Neil

Thanks for the reply's, I feel like a 5 year old counting sleeps till we go!
We are happy to work after a bit of a break, our "bucket list" has a few things for us to do along the way and motel or caravan park relieving would be on the list.
