Hi everybody sorry I have not had much to say lately.
Anyway just had a thought it would be nice to know where Nomads on the road are at any given time so that those of us at home might be able to catch up with them as they pass through our area .
Mabe share our local knowledge with them in exchange for stories of their travels also a local has many contacts in their area which may help a GN that is having a problem of any kind makes for a very large network of help around our very very large land
What are your thoughts on this

Good Idea mate. I usually keep an eye out in the posts to see whose going where and issue an invite for a cuppa or happy hour. So far Reza and Mrs. Reza have called in but haven't seen anyone else.
You tend to find out AFTER they have been past unfortunately. A bit late then/.
Anyway there is a standing invitation to our place at any time - provided we aren't on the road of course.

G'day jon, longreach is a great place to visit. There is a really good free camp up near the sales yards. go past till the road forks, take the right road till you see an old car wreck on the right, take track into the lagoon, beautiful spot, much better than the one on the Gregory River. Can also highly recommend the paddle boat sunset cruise.
Just checked the diary its called Lilly Lagoon

Possibly more rain forecast for the area, and the Windorah area is also expecting peak water flow tonight too .. but that spot sounds good for tomorrow ..

Hi Scottme1,
As far as I'm aware, there is currently a 'Where Are They Now' forum sub-heading, under consideration by our Webmistress.
But as you say, "it would be nice to know where Nomads on the road are at any given time so that those of us at home might be able to catch up with them as they pass through our area ."

Hi there. Some of us have been putting our where-abouts in our signature. Not the address, just the location. Then if we're in your neighbourhood, or you in ours, we'll put the kettle on and swap notes.
I've caught up with quite a few Nomads that way. It works both ways. I look forward to meeting you sometime. Or, if you're in Cairns in the next few months, look me up.

Hi Palebushman, great idea, can you tell me how this may work. We are in Wildflower country in wheatbelt of W.A. if anyone is going through. Also some great rock formations (equal of wave rock in many opinions) in the area.

Tezza, does that mean you give personalised tours to Nomads who drop in?
I'm planning to head back to the west maybe later this year. I missed your country in 07 when I headed south from Broome, but I'm not finished with WA yet. It's great country, and the people are pretty cool too. They even understand me. Now that's scary.
I've got commitments here in Qld before I can hitch up again.
Getting really itchy feet now I'm feeling better, but according to the medical experts Ibbo and the Duck, I can feel a whole lot better with the removal of another faulty body part. They're sharpening the scalpels as we speak.
Gee we just don't know enough about the engineering we're standing up in. I'm learning so much about myself now, in more ways than one.

Unfortunatly have to leave the box on wheels at home, too hard to find a camp but lucky have been offered a bed at my Nieces place - will report on the sheebang when I get back

We're home in Ocean Grove doing home things like painting and renovating bathrooms. Mid Feb. will be heading Mildura, Barossa, Adelaide. After that thru Pt. Pirie to Whyalla,Pt. Lincoln and around to Ceduna. But then who knows what might take our interest along the way.!!!
Anyone along this track?
