Possibly Great Ocean Road end Feb or early March, maybe as far as Mt Gambier, possibly via NSW south coast (from Newcastle)

I am in Melbourne, East Doncaster park until Mid March, then will be heading north through central NSW and QLD to Bramston Beach and Cairns, where my son has just moved to. Back here probably, at the end of November. Helen

My darling grandaughter is in Tathra at present, coming home on Sunday - cant wait to see her.
Funny with grandkids isn't it, you dont see them enough when they are home and you miss them terribly when they are away.

Hi there, fellow travellers. I am new here, and only on my second "trip". Leave 3rd week of Feb. Back early April.
Starting from North Coast NSW, to Armidale - West Wyalong - Melbourne. Stay there for a while. Then back up via Canberra, Richmond and along the East Coast...
Read about the towel in the window as a "Code". Dunno about that one, but is there any way to recognise fellow club members on the road?

Hi and welcome Beams. So where's Jim, the other Beams?
On the general forum there's a section where you can register your interest in obtaining FREE bumper sticker. Many of us have a sticker on the rear windows of the tug and the van.
To ID from the front it was suggested some time ago to attach grey ribbons to the aerial, unless you put a nomad sticker on the top of the windscreen.
I have a sticker on the rear of my tug, and another on the rear window of the van, AND a silver/grey ribbon on the aerial.
Other than that we chat to each other and reveal our travels plans and if there's a chance we meet up for a cuppa, stubby, chat and a laugh. We make contact by personal message if we don't wish to share all our info with the big, wide world. It's all good.
We're a friendly mob here, most of the time, and it's a great source of info and tips.
We'd like to hear yours too. Safe and happy travels. Cheers Chris

Hi Chris,
Thanks for the welcome and the info. Stickers sound good. I shall have to look into that, and possibly some grey ribbons to match my hair!! LOL!! They will look good, so long as it's not raining.
Tried the Ozcaravantagalong site, but could not find much that was past 2009. Probably I did not manage to "unlock" the listings. . . .or is it a dead site?
You mean there is another Beams???? Maybe I have a twin somewhere and not know it?? LOL!!
Will go see to those stickers now. . . . .thanks heapsa

I meant your brother in the bourbon bottle ha ha ha ha.
Tagalong is alive and well, but my promotion efforts have been a bit slack, so it's probably gone a bit quiet. I'm not moving so it looks like no one else is either.
That's what happens when I get parked up for longer than I'd planned. When I get on the road my posters will be everywhere again.
If you'd like to enter your details and spread the word, it may get another kick start.
It was quite busy but some hacker shut it down about 6 months ago, and so it was off the air for about 2 months.
Safe and happy travels. Cheers

Hi Chris, I did not 'recognise' Jim because I am more into Scotch, and I never travel without a wee bottle in the fridge. Not enough to make me tipsy. Red wine is good too but makes me sleepy too quickly!
Put in my details yesterday but cannot see them there now. Shall have to try again.
So you're up North, and staying there. Is that right? What's up there that is so good?
Lotsa,
Beams

A good medical service kept me here. They caught up with my cholesterol and other issues.
I'm not really sick - the doctors just kept finding stuff.
I was only pulling into Cairns for a month or 2 in 2008, and yet I'm still here.
Fortunately the faulty body part was removed just before Christmas, and there's another one waiting for the knife.
I'm hoping to hit the road later perhaps to be back in SA by June.
I suppose I could be stuck in worse places.
In an odd way Cairns has been good to me and good for me. A chance to review where I am in my life, including compiling my years of writing into books.
I also joined Sing Australia here and really enjoy the social network.
Always busy. Cheers

Have a commitment in Inverell (northern NSW) weekend 27th 28th this month (Feb). Will probably stay at Inverell Caravan Park (the one near the Tingha Rd bridge) Intend then to head down to Vic via Newell Hwy and "do" the GOR and maybe the Grampians. Will be travelling in a white 2003 Pajero towing a Goldstream Goldcrown "wind-up" camper. Need to be back in Newcastle by end of March/early April.

Sounds like we could nearly travel together, except I have a girlfriend waiting impatiently for me and I was hoping to be in Melbourne by around the 27th, give or take a day or two. I am also intending to be up in Yamba early April. Maybe we need to talk more on PM??
