HAPPY, HAPPY NEW YEAR ...to all those beautiful souls roaming the highways and byways of this great country.....I wish you safe travelling, much love, joy and laughter, good health, fabulous music...AND lots of yummy food and wine as you meander along...... May your minds be at peace and your spirits free...may you see the sunrise and the sunset each day, listen to the wind in the trees and the rain on the roof of your 'mobile' homes.....may you hear the ocean waves crashing at your doors and the trickling of the creeks at your camp sites. Watch the aura of the flame as it crackles and burns in your camp fires ....and smell the aromas of different foods cooking in your camp ovens......may you sing and play music with friends...and look out for and care for one another as you go on your journey....
Happy New Year and may God be with you all this year...or Buddha..or Mother Nature..or whoever is your higher being in this world that was created for us....

I'm not on the road yet Lynn, but this all sounds good to me, especially in my present state of mind...
All of the above to you too.

Most poetic, Lynn.
And a most appropriate beatitude for the likes of us wanderers - including the wannabes and gunners
Merry New Year to you too.

I am a newbie here, and on the road. Just hit on the site when I needed most - getting ready to leave.
I just read these posts here in response to Lynn's New Year wishes.
Lynn sounds so perceptive and poetic.
But most of all it struck me what a grand bunch of people you all are. Such a friendly, humorous tone.
Hope I meet one or some of you on the road someday.

Hi Beams! I hope your name is because of the size of your smile!!! Welcome to the forum. I'm another solo traveller, from NZ, but been here doing the Grey Nomad thing for the last 12 mths. I'll probably be heading to Kalgoorlie to work when I get back to Freo in Mar, then it will be off over to your neck of the woods to check out the eastern side of this great country. Hope to catch up one day! Cheers, Dianne

Hi Bubs,
Sounds like you're having a good time, and making money too. If you mean you are coming up to the North Coast, then make sure you contact me and we can then meet.
I should be back home by April - unless the bug hits again!!
Happy New Year and may God be with you all this year...or Buddha..or Mother Nature..or whoever is your higher being in this world that was created for us....
