I've got 44 mm on my gauge from Thursday and it's still raining. It's been 5 years since we have had good soaking rain like this. I pitty the poor buggers who will go from drought to flood in one fell swoop.....

Hey you freeloaders, that is OUR rain, you leave it alone, we want it back.
Here in Bunbury we need it too, haven't seen any since mid November.

Too plurry right, Niel.
I get all my twice weekly exercise shifting kilometers of hoses and sprinklers around half an acre of stupid lawn. Usually before my eyes are fully open, too!
(I can't convince the landlord to spend a few dollars on ripping most of it up and replacing it with something more eco-friendly.)

Carins had a half-hearted thunder storm yesterday arvo, and a sprinkling of rain.
But it's supposed to be the wet season, not the sprinkle season.
The humidity however is 70%, and I put out more moisture than the clouds. No breeze to help move the air along.

You can keep your bloody rain we dont need or want it , all it is doing is damaging crops and stopping harvest , which is costing the growers big money in downgraded grain and it will then flow onto the community .

It's absolutely persisting down here in Sydney, hoping the catchment is getting heaps to help fill some of the dam, and they are saying it will keep raining till the end of the week. T'was alright earlier on when it was just drizzling, but now it's pretty heavy.

you're dead right there mick, cost Jock roughly $150,000 so far and i still havent finished it for him, so the sum total wont be known! probably close to $200,000 by the end
last lot I looked at was starting to go green or pinching! not good.

We're loving the rain, great to see green grass again! But having said that, it has gone on for a number of days now (here in Brissie), so we can probably safely say, 'enough is enough'. Our dams have received some of it too which is great news.

Geez I'm glad I'm not trying to earn a living as a primary producer!
The rain, while welcome in Canberra has spoilt our apricots They either fell or split and rotted, and the kids are disappointed there'll be no apricot jam this year. I'm less disappointed, dont have to make jam now. But would be devastated if we were relying on that crop for a living!
