Yes, at last it is Boxing Day!

Cricket, Yachting, lazing in the shade, no cooking as there are plenty of leftovers, heaps of alcohol left......and......best of all........there are still 364 days to Christmas!

I gotta agree, except we're off to melbourne this afternoon and newcastle midweek to catch up on a few "older" friends who couldnt travel, at least we have cool weather for it, just waiting for the last of the mob to clear the coralls and we are off! (5 vans to go) ah the serenity! more pressies, more bulldust and more beer, gotta be good!

Oh yeah thank the supreme being for Boxing Day... I'm not mentioning Xmas Day what a disaster....

I spent the afternoon Christmas shopping. Yeah I know I'm a little late, but I have the luxury of doing it after Christmas because I'm only going south to family on Wednesday. Besides, I was a bit busy with medical matters before Christmas. Cairns is currently experiencing a mild thunderstorm with some rain. It's been hot, still and humid today - almost too hard for this seasoned tropical bird to handle. She'll be right when it rains.

You would have had a cheap day Scrooge!! Everybody brought something and you had a smorgasbord!!.............and free!! I'm jealous!! :)

not sure about cheap Ducky, I checked the account this morning and it cost us about $2,000 but the thing is I would say about 10 of these folks, possibly more, wont see next xmas, age, cancer and other illnesses are taking their toll, so a good price to pay! I would fork out double to do it again, it's only money, when they are gone they are gone and to see the new additions, wives, husbands and all the babies and kids, mate I was in my element, love them all to death, tell you the truth my legs are bruised from the kids jumping on and off my lap wanting hugs and my lips and back is sore from all the hugs and kisses i got already talking about the next one, emails this morning have started the numbers climbing again, we might hire a parkland or something
