Merry Christmas every one.
I spent the day alone the ex has taken the kids on holiday the timing of which was very considerate of her.
Thanks to you guys, amount other things, i bought as gifts for the kids an ice cream maker. There was a post here about them . Anyway just to trial it out i first made a simple ice cream. That took about two minutes to prepare and another 15 to make in the machine. It turned out exactly like a soft serve in taste and texture. Today i made a custard based ice cream. Took about 45 minutes to prepare and another 35 minutes for the machine to make. It was probably the best ice cream i have ever had. Just think about all the variations left for me to try, let alone the sorbets...water melon, mint, lemon to mention a few. The machine is a Sunbeam Gelataria...so far a very good gift for kids. .
Cheers
