Due to certain responsibilities and commitments to family matters, Ma and I are stuck in our home on the NSW south coast for a while. However, some stupid idiot forgot to build the highway to bypass our stretch of paradise. Now we have to put up with tourists pushing up the local prices, using up the tarmac on our roads, and even soaking up the beautiful sights around our quaint village.......
there ought to be a law......
and as for those people dragging caravans past our front door, I hope you have your dunnies all back up..... not fair, ...

Our lap starts about June next year and if you are still there then we will drive past your place as often as we can just to make you even more envious. But then you could always invite us for a cold beverage.

hey, how do you think I feel, sitting up here, 30 folks at home laughing and carrying on like pork chops and a heap more to come and I'm up here,
and when I crest the rise I can see the highway, she's chocko with "bloody tourists"
millions of them, using up our resources and polluting the atmosphere, choking up the air with all their bloody fun and frivolity, a law indeed, hang the lot of them!!
hope their chooks turn into emus and kick their dunnys down!

Parking in Nowra at any time of the year is bad, something to do with the demographics of elderly retired dairy farmers. But Hey Milo I'm doin my bit, I'm moving one car from Nowra to Canberra so if you get to Aldi at 7:30 you may be able to grab the space that they would take....

As for you pair of Ulladullans, thats the price you pay for living in Paradise....Thats why I sold my Cabin at Ulladulla I got fed up with the crowds, you used to be able to swim in the nuddy at Lobster jacks beach and Lighthouse beach without being pursued by a seething plethora of sightseers....

I live on the main drag into Port Macquarie and every day when i sit on my porch and watch the tide come and go a 100 plus of those bloody tourist also pass by making me green with envy. We never travel at Christmas of Easter or the (what seems like never ending) school holidays.
I reckon if you started off in Perth and drove over to the E coast and up to the NT you would never be in a non school holiday period or some sought of public long weekend for more than a couple of weeks .

Ulladulla what a great spot or it used to be before Canberra and Sydney "discovered " it . Mollymook another and the jewal as far as Im concerned used to be Burrill Lake > Holiday shack right on the lake just down from the caravan park . Sold it when I was about 20 just before the joint boomed , went for a drive around there a few years ago looked like any other suburb in Oz yuk.

LOVE the south coast of NSW! Was lucky enough to live at Tathra (now theres a beautiful spot) for a couple of years in the 90's, and all the locals used to actually take holidays and go elsewhere during Dec/Jan. The tourists help to keep businesses going that are very quiet during the year, PLUS they are gone in February when the beach is at its most beautiful, and the water is warmer.
Think a month or two ahead Ma, you'll have paradise to yourself again! In the meantime...suffer!!!!

oh living on the main drag coming into port mcquarie i can understand what that must belike gord i havent been there for years now, i did drive though it about four years ago, i left six almost seven years ago now, they were just starting to get rid of peppermint park and had closed down lots of places before i left i lived in fischer st at the time which was down road from pizza hut, off gordon street ,was a lovely quaint little street and the back yard or my backyard backed onto wetlands etc ,so iwas lucky but come holiday time, nobody wanted to head into town at all, could never get a bloody park and the place was bedlam.
